Homeland Security Jurisdiction Must Be Consolidated

(WASHINGTON) – Today, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, sent a letter to Hon. John A. Boehner, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, regarding the urgent need for consolidation of legislative and oversight jurisdiction over homeland security matters. This was a key recommendation of the 9/11 Commission and has yet to be addressed.
